Monthly Boxes (Book-only Box and Book & Bookmark Box):

Your box ships between the 15th and 25th of each month, and you’ll receive an email with a tracking number as soon as it’s on its way. For example, the May Box will be shipped between May 15th-25th.

Book Bundle Box:

Your Book Bundle Box ships out every quarter.
– January, Februart and March’s books will ship out between March 15th-25th
– April, May and June’s books will ship out between June 15th-25th
– July, August and September’s books will ship out between September 15th-25th
– October, November and December’s books will ship out between December 15th-25th

Since we feature newly released books, our shipping schedule depends on release dates and transit times. We work hard to ensure timely deliveries and will always keep you updated along the way!

Normal products:
Shop procuts will ship out between 1-5 work days. Please note that if you order another item together with a pre-order, the entire order will be shipped once the pre-order is ready. If you’d like to receive the other items sooner, we recommend placing a separate order.

Book-Only Box (monthly)
Perfect if you love receiving a beautiful special edition and author letter while keeping the flexibility of a monthly subscription.

Book & Bookmark Box (monthly)
For readers who would like a little extra. The same beautiful edition and author letter, with an added keepsake of a metal bookmark.

Book Bundle Box (quarterly)
One box, three books, and their author letters. A wonderful option if you would like to save on shipping while still enjoying a curated reading experience.

Each quarter, you will receive three monthly subscription picks, which will be the same books as in our monthly boxes, in one carefully curated shipment, meaning you only pay shipping once for all three books.

Renewal Schedule:

• March 1st: January-March bundle
• June 1st: April-June bundle
• September 1st: July-September bundle
• December 1st: October-December bundle

Which bundle will I get as a new subscriber?
See below which bundle you will get, based on the time you subscribe.

• If you sub between December 2nd – March 1st → January-March bundle
• If you sub between March 2nd – June 1st → April-June bundle
• If you sub between June 2nd – September 1st → July-September bundle
• If you sub between September 2nd – December 1st → October-December bundle

Shipping Timeline:

How do I skip my bundle box?
You have up to 2 skips per year, with no consecutive skips. Skips needs to be requested to skip@bookinabox.dk at the 25th of the month before your renewal.

Skip requests must be submitted before:

• No later than February 25th: Skip January-March bundle
• No later than May 25th: Skip April-June bundle
• No later than August 25th: Skip July-September bundle
• No later than November 25th: Skip October-December bundle 

This option is designed to offer both savings and convenience, while still bringing beautifully curated stories to your shelves.

Monthly boxes (Book-only Box and Book & Bookmark Box):
When you subscribe, payment for your first box is processed immediately. After that, you’ll be billed on the 1st of each month for your upcoming box.

For example, if you sign up on April 5th, you’ll pay for your May box right away. Your next payment will be on June 1st for the June box.

Book Bundle Box:
When you subscribe, payment for your first box is processed immediatly. After that, you’ll be billed the next quarter.

For example, if you sign up on January 14th, you’ll pay for your January, February and March books right away. Your next payment will be on June 1st for April, May and June’s box.

Shop products:
Shop order will be billed when we ship out your order. If your order is, or contains, a pre-order, payment will be charged immediatly. Please note that if you order another item together with a pre-order, the entire order will be paid for immediately and shipped once the pre-order is ready. If you’d like to receive the other items sooner, we recommend placing a separate order.

If your subscription didn’t go through or an error occurred, we recommend trying again a little later. If the issue persists, it could be due to an error with your bank. We suggest contacting your bank to clarify the cause. If the problem remains unresolved after reaching out to them, feel free to email us at kontakt@bookinabox.dk, and we’ll assist you further.

Monthly subscriptions:
Up to 6 skips per year, with a maximum of 2 consecutive skips. Skips needs to be requested to skip@bookinabox.dk at the 25th of the month before your renewal. E.g. a skip request for June’s box needs to be sent in at May 25th the latest.
If you wish to skip 3 times in a row, your subscription will get cancelled.

Book Bundle-subscription:
Up to 2 skips per year, with no consecutive skips. Skips needs to be requested to skip@bookinabox.dk at the 25th of the month before your renewal. E.g. a skip request for your January, February and March bundle box needs to be sent in at February 25th the latest, before renewal on March 1st.
If you wish to skip twice in a row, your subscription will get cancelled.

A year counts as 12 months from your first box.

You can choose between EUR and USD by selecting your preferred currency at the top of our website.

You are always free to cancel your Book in a Box subscription – don’t let our broken hearts stop you! Just make sure to cancel before the renewal date on the 1st of the month.

Not ready to say goodbye? You can also skip a box instead and keep your subscription going for future adventures!

This depends on your country’s import rules:

EU Customers
Book in a Box is based in Denmark (EU), meaning no extra import fees will apply. We collect VAT and pay it directly to your country.

USA
Books are currently exempt from tariffs. However, the US requires a 3 USD PGA fee for shipments entering the country. For subscription orders containing only books, we cover this fee on your behalf through DDP shipping, helping you avoid additional handling fees. Orders containing non-book items may still be subject to tariffs and local fees, and will need to be covered by you.

Canada
We ship DDP for all book-only orders and subscription boxes only containing books and absorb these fees for you, helping ensure there are no unexpected charges upon delivery.

All Other Countries
Additional fees, tariffs, or import charges depend on your country’s regulations and are the customer’s responsibility.
