The Fantasy Box

Your box ships between the 15th and 25th of each month, and you’ll receive an email with a tracking number as soon as it’s on its way. For example, the May Box will be shipped between May 15th-25th.

Since we feature newly released books, our shipping schedule depends on release dates and transit times. We work hard to ensure timely deliveries and will always keep you updated along the way!

Please note that if you order another item together with a pre-order, the entire order will be shipped once the pre-order is ready. If you’d like to receive the other items sooner, we recommend placing a separate order.

When you subscribe, payment for your first box is processed immediately. After that, you’ll be billed on the 1st of each month for your upcoming box.

For example, if you sign up on April 5th, you’ll pay for your May box right away. Your next payment will be on June 1st for the June box.

If your subscription didn’t go through or an error occurred, we recommend trying again a little later. If the issue persists, it could be due to an error with your bank. We suggest contacting your bank to clarify the cause. If the problem remains unresolved after reaching out to them, feel free to email us at kontakt@bookinabox.dk, and we’ll assist you further.

Yes! You can skip up to 3 times a year before your subscription is canceled. Just email skip@bookinabox.dk before the 25th of the previous month (e.g., April 25th for the May box) to let us know.

Since we’re a small business, we plan our book orders in advance to avoid overstock and keep bringing you the best editions. If you need to skip more than 3 times, you’re always welcome to cancel and resubscribe whenever you’re ready—we’ll be here waiting!

You are always free to cancel your Book in a Box subscription – don’t let our broken hearts stop you! Just make sure to cancel before the renewal date on the 1st of the month.

Not ready to say goodbye? You can also skip a box instead and keep your subscription going for future adventures!

A quick note: We feature books released no more than 1.5 months before the box ships and usually plan 6 months ahead, so be sure to reach out in good time!

We completely understand why this is important to ask. Customs rules and fees vary from country to country, so we always recommend checking your local import regulations to be sure.

In some countries, customs duties, tariffs, or handling fees may apply. If they do, these charges are set by your country and must be covered by you, the buyer. They are not fees we receive or control.

As far as we are aware, books are currently exempt from customs duties in the United States. However, regulations can change, so we recommend staying up to date with your local rules.

Customers within the EU should not have to pay VAT, as we are registered for VAT and remit it to your country through the appropriate system.
